Islamabad Airport, also known as Benazir International Airport is the third largest and the only air access to the capital city of Pakistan Islamabad. Islamabad Airport Terminal Information
Islamabad Airport has a single terminal. This terminal houses four different lounges for the passengers. International and domestic passengers have separate lounges that serve arrivaing and departing passengers. Apart from that a CIP lounge is present for international passengers that are travelling on first or business class. On the other hand, Rawal lounge facilitates passengers that make additional payments and enjoy the benefits of free refreshments, internet facility etc.
Information Desk
Different airlines have separate information desks at the airport that facilitate passengers from all classes. Flight schedule information is constantly displayed through an electronic board located at the departure and arrival hall entrance. Apart from that several TV monitors are also located in lounges for guiding the passengers.
Traveling To and From Islamabad Airport
Islamabad Airport is conveniently located at the junction of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. It is just 15 minutes drive from Islamabad. Main Islamabad expressway connects the airport to Islamabad.
Rent a car service is readily available at the Islamabad airport at all times of the day and night. You can avail taxi services from the taxi stand. Or you can hire private transportation from any of the rent a car companies. Al-Madina tours, Metro radio cab, the cab radio services and yellow cab all have counters at the concourse hall. You can either book in advance or upon your arrival.
Different hotels and airlines provide shuttle service to and from the airport, which can be booked in advance or requested upon arrival. The public bus transport system is present in the city but the infrastructure is not that reliable. So it is always best to either hire private car/taxi services or airline/hotel shuttle service.

Money Exchange & ATM:
There are four ATM’s located at the vicinity of the airport. Two of them are located at the domestic arrival whereas two are located at the concourse. Apart from the ATM’s, the airport has currency exchange counters as well as banking services from where passengers can easily exchange their foreign currency and satisfy your immediate banking needs.
Food & Drinks:
The airport has several facilities for food and drinks at international and domestic level. Pearl Continental hotel refreshment counter is present at International departure CIP lounge and Rawal lounge whereas Rawal restaurant is located at the terminal building, domestic and international departure lounges. For refreshments Airport Café and CAA Public and welfare canteen are the best options.
Shopping:
The airport houses an exclusive shopping area. This area includes duty free shops, souvenir shops, jewelry collection, gift shops, TR shops, books and magazine shop as well as local arts and crafts shops.
Islamabad Airport Services for Handicapped
Special services are available at Islamabad airport for physically handicapped persons as well as senior citizens. Fast track services are available for such people at arrival/departure and wheel chair ramps are also available. Advance arrangements can be made by notifying airlines ahead of the flight schedule.
